FAQ’s on GMAT Admissions Consulting

Here are a few questions which you as a GMAT aspirant should ask the GMAT admissions consulting centre before enrolling. It is wise to have your answers than shoot an arrow in the dark.

MBA Counselling

  1. Am I ready for GMAT, I know how to read and write English well, and am proficient in Math too?
Quant (Math) and Verbal (English) in GMAT needs specific preparation and practice. General abilities for them both are a must, and you need to hone them well before you can see success. This is why dedication and time for the two disciplines are a must, or else good scores would be a far fetched fantasy.
  1. Parameters to select a GMAT training program?
Before joining any of the GMAT admissions consulting, students should look for;
  1. Faculty credentials, if they have sat for such exams in the past or not? If yes, check the scores and ask for proof of the same. The faculty member should be GMAT well versed and dedicated, or should be a CAT teacher
  2. Study materials should be high quality and not random collection of notes on GMAT, from various sources. The material should be organized and coherent, which aims at making you master the exam and not just learn it
  3. The schedule at the training centre should be consistent and committed; they should have a definite timeline per course to complete. The training hub shouldn’t be one where you would get frustrated not being able to complete your curriculum on time. The curriculum should be well-defined
  1. Advantages of studying face to face or online?
These days there are many MBA admissions consultants that offer video based training courses, which can be great for those who have no time to study in person. However, you need to have patience sitting online to study, and resolve problems on your own. There are excellent training options using VBT’s, if you know how to choose the path right. If you need expert guidance and counselling on subjects, you then would have to be face to face with an ace teacher. All said and done, face to face learning can never be substituted for; video based training would never match up, say many.

We hope you ask these three important questions when choosing an MBA admissions consultant. Good luck!!
